Tarash is an agricultural area. One-third is located in the challan bill. So there is an abundance of rice and fish here. There are many ponds here. Food grains and fish are the main sources of income for the people here. There is a huge fish market in the market called Mahishluti. From where fish is supplied all over Bangladesh.
